Hi Charles, On reading your April Update, I was intrigued by the significant difference in size between the Stuttgarter onions sown in pencil-holes and those sown in finger-indents. Have you any theories?

Hi Darren, I wonder if I squashed the compost too firm but normally this has not caused problems, its one to keep an eye on. My current batch of West Riding compost is pretty dense and some seedlings struggle at first then grow superbly.
