    i have sown a tray of durham early spring cabbage. they have been pricked out into pots and are currently about 3″ high when should these go into the ground. thanks

     I think you may have sown them a little early as they sound ready to go out now and then may have time to make small hearts before year’s end, which sometimes means no more growing in the spring. It happened to me once so I sow in August’s last week and I am about to prick out some small seedlings.

    Keeping your plants in modules for a while may delay them a little, plant out in ten days or longer if they are still green. Maybe sow a few more now, asap, to have some later cabbages next spring.
