    Hi Charles

We have a bountiful harvest of Nantes carrots and I propse to lift them asap, before wet weather and the accompanying slugfest.

How do you store them over the winter? Will they will be ok in a paper bag or hessian sack in a frost free shed, as is done with potatoes? I can’t see me building a traditional earth and straw clamp but I could put some in boxes with sand.

    Thank you very much

John, Rosie asked this last year and yes, just in sacks is good, a little soil on, all green off, hope for no fly damage. I am lifting some Nantes next week, they are under mesh, we shall see…
