I have a yacon plant I bought at an RHS show last month. I’ve been waiting for some structural work to be completed at the allotment before I could make a bed for it. However, I’ve now decided to put it in a large ‘smithy’ style pot instead of waiting any longer.
Am I really far to late to plant it now to get any sort of a crop?, or can I go ahead?
This is another plant I’ve never grown before and have lost the cultural instructions so any advice would be welcome.

It’s late Jan but not too late, your harvest will be smaller but normally the tubers are large from planting say six weeks ago.
