Watering frequency for Tomato and Potato plants

Thanks for your tips on watering in the mid-June update. Apologies for asking this but how often do you suggest watering Tomato and Potato plants after they begin to flower? I’m aiming to water these once a week if it hasn’t rained. Do tubers suffer if they warn’t watered enough?

Hello Asif, it’s the difference between surviving and thriving. Currently it’s so hot an sunny that watering every two days can boost yield,whereas in the cooler weather after Friday, every four three to four days is good, depending on sunshine amounts.
With less water you may end up with less potatoes, but they will slap be sweeter and fuller flavoured. I am harvesting Rocket just now, unwatered, and they are just so tasty.
