With the cold weather forecast I am wondering how much to fleece…. I have mustards, rocket, sorrel, green in the snow, spinach, winter purslane, mizuna, red frills, lambs lettuce and several more I can’t name! Should I fleece the whole lot? K
Yes it is worth fleecing some salads, not so much to help them survive, as most of the ones you mention are pretty frost hardy, but more to keep leaves healthier and to encourage more new leaves. Fleece also keeps pigeons and rabbits off and they will be getting hungrier in the coming weeks.
