    I have been sorting through the last of my potatoes and I have found a box of “Winston” potatoes. They seen to be in excellent condition. Although some had started to sprout the potatoes are still firm and certainly usable.
    I am most surprised as I thought Winston was an early potato and therefore would not keep for any length of time.

    Thanks for the tip. Funnily enough my longest keeping apple is Winston.
    I am always impressed with the keeping quality of Charlotte, even though it is a second early and thus it should be keen to sprout again.
