    Hi Helle,

    Do the test yourself using one of the diy kits.
    Testing your soil is essential in order to know what kind of soil you have, acidic or alkaline and what amendments you need to add for the plants you wish to grow.
    I think this is something you should give some priority to as you now have a niggling doubt imbedded in your mind about the phosphorus content.

    Dig for Victory, as I wrote earlier, I don’t have all that much compost, nowhere near the 1-2 inches that Charles and others recommend spreading per year, so how it has become too much, if it has, is the question, no!

    Hi Hawfinch,

    Just to clarify.
    What I am suggesting is that you are using too much of the leaves and Leafmould.
    The problem is not with your compost/manure.
