Thanks for the help, Charles. We’re really looking forward to using the no-dig approach for the first time this year, so we’re hoping it will reduce the problem. We’ve begun to experiment with composting (checking the temperature etc.), and we’re also in the process of laying green compost from the local tip on our beds ready for new season, and we fetched two wheelbarrows of horse-muck from the local stables last week.
